No one should have to worry about affording an abortion.
Cost should never be a barrier to receiving abortion or reproductive health care.
At Midwest Reproductive Health Care, we believe that access is a right — not a privilege.
We offer sliding-scale fees based and payment plan options, accept Illinois Medicaid and most private insurance plans, and partner with abortion funds and practical support networks that provide financial assistance for people who qualify. Many of our clients pay little or no cost for their care.
Before Scheduling Your Appointment
Midwest Reproductive Health Care partners with several regional abortion funds and support organizations that assist with procedure costs, travel, childcare, lodging, and other practical needs for people traveling to Illinois for care.

Abortion Funds Serving Illinois and Surrounding States

Chicago Abortion Fund (CAF) — Assists residents of Illinois and anyone traveling to Illinois for abortion care.

When you call or schedule an appointment with us, our staff will ask a few simple questions to help determine if you qualify for financial support through our partner funds.
If eligible, we’ll apply for funding on your behalf — there’s no need for you to contact NAF directly.
If you’re traveling from Wisconsin, Iowa, or another state, we can also help connect you with practical support organizations to assist with transportation, overnight stays, and other logistics.
Insurance and Payment
Some private insurance plans cover part or all of your abortion care.
Please call us at (815) 315-4711 before your appointment to provide your insurance information so our team can verify your coverage.
We also accept Illinois Medicaid which often covers abortion care.
If you are traveling from out of state, our staff can help you understand what assistance may be available.
Need Additional Support?
If you still need financial or logistical help after we’ve screened you for available funding, we encourage you to contact one of the abortion funds listed above directly before your appointment.
If you secure funding, the abortion fund will contact our clinic directly to coordinate payment — you won’t have to handle any extra paperwork or calls.
